The square tube that you used for reinforcement on the back, is it only riveted to the plate or to the sides of the boat also?

Hello Mike, I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate all the efforts you're making to bring us an invaluable content. I remember when I saw the full build of your tiny boat: "Woaaa! This guy is great!". *There are tons of channels on UA-cam, but yours is one of a kind that's for sure.* I know that some do this with the hope to bring business in. And you know what? That's perfectly fine! Shooting the videos then editing takes a LOT of time. And you also help people to save tons of money and to get their make their dream a reality. So I hope that you're making good money out of it. But I also know that UA-cam is not what it used to be ....(everyone says the same). So I have an idea for you. Why not selling merch? T-shirts, stickers, patches, mugs, etc. Tons of channels have that so people are used to that. I'm not ready to build my own boat (and I live in Canada), but I'd sure be happy to spend a few box to get a TBNation's sticker, t-shirt or hat that's for sure! And heal yourself first. Health is what matters most because without a good health, then what?? *Again, thanks for everything you do, your kindness and for sharing your awesome expertise. You're a true gem on UA-cam and I really mean it...*

Burn out has been scientifically proven to damage your brain, especially if you are on the autism spectrum -- and a lot more people are on that spectrum than most realize, as most people only think of the extreme representation of autism, when there are sooo many steps before this... (only pointing this out because the damage from burn out when you are on the spectrum can be so handicapping) But yes burn out can lead to long term brain damage. Becoming more sustainable in your work/life balance is the important work to do in your 40s to manage this. (thanks for the update and take care of yourself!)

Take care of youself bro, we can keep it going for a long time till one day. I left my job in march because i just couldnt do it anymore. I'm taking UA-cam easier now but i tend to over do it, last monday i worked from 7 am til 10 pm and i was feeling bad like before, like i have overdone it again.

i hate youtubes new algo, i prefer to watch longer vids and usually never watch anything under 10, but now everyone is doing short vids, youtube is not tiktok, its terrible, hope you recover quickly, im dealing with a frozen shoulder myself.

I bought one of these in 2022 because it was basically the biggest motor I could get that I could still man-handle on to my little boat. The Yamaha 25 is only 121 pounds, All the other manufacturers 25hp weigh 30-40 pounds more because they are all 3 cylinder and Yamaha is the only 25hp that is still 2 cylinder. I love this motor, starts first pull for 2 years now, costs like 10$(CDN, maybe 5-7$US) in gas to run at full throttle for over an hour, and I have put over 1000 pounds of lumber, concrete etc in a small boat and it still pushed it at a good speed. Great power to weight ratio, very dependable so far, definitely recommend.

Serious question. By the time you buy all the items you have on this boat, you will be at the same cost as a nice used aluminum boat. What is the benefit? I guess besides not needing a trailer and the weight part.

Thanks, Im old and its too small but 30 years ago we did this with small aluminum boats for windy mountain lakes, the flat deck covered all but the rear troller position I put a removable post seat in the front. These days the lakes I fish are catch and release and clear deep water, drones are now cheaper than fish finders
